Regarding next week (Dec 2), I've updated the page on grammar induction with some ideas. I'd be happy doing model selection next week instead, as I'm still in the process of wrapping my head around the grammar induction material, but I would still be fine with going next week, particularly if someone were willing to co-present the material with me. I'm also around on the 9th, but fly out the day after that, so I won't be here on the 16th. We could do the grammar induction at the start of next quarter, as well.
be the best time. Another option is just to cancel for this week (I
dont think we have a reading scheduled so we haven't really prepared
to discuss anything either), and resume at the usual time on December
2nd, with a discussion of either model selection or grammar induction.
