Dear all,
This week's lab meeting will be devoted to the topic of sequential
effects; you are all invited to attend. In the first half, I will
present our latest experimental/theoretical results (work with He
Huang, 1st year PhD student in Cogsci) that examine the interaction
between prior expectation and sensory processing, and the dependence
of that interaction on the fidelity of the sensory inputs. In the
second half, Michael Mozer and Matt Wilder will present a hierarchical
model of sequential effects that aims to tease apart the different
components of sequential effects.
The location is Natural Computation Lab, on the 2nd floor of Social
Sciences Research Building, next door to the Cogsci building. The
(locked) door to the natcomp lab is to the left as you come out of the
elevator. Call the lab phone (22421) to be let in, if the door is
locked.
Best wishes,
Angela
