Hi all,
I believe that this is the meeting that Vicente was talking about!

Hi everyone,
On the coming week, we will be introducing Dirichlet Processes, how
one goes about constructing them, some of its properties, and mixtures
of Dirichlet Processes. The relevant papers to read are Ferguson and
Antioniak primarily for this week. And hopefully, if time permits,
also Sethuraman's paper which gives an alternative construction of DPs
which will be helpful when we start discussing how to sample from
DPs. Also, Blei's tutorial is helpful in getting an overall sense of
DPs and MDPs and easier to read, though less detailed, than Ferguson's
or Antoniak's papers.
It may also help to review some basic measure theory concepts, at
least being familiar with some of the language as it may help mitigate
some possible confusion when dealing with DPs. There are several
measures embedded in the construction of DPs so it can potentially get
kind of confusing keeping track of all of them, although once you get
over that hurdle it's not too difficult to understand.
Il-Young Son.
